but what annoys me the most is captain marvel, i.e he has the same powers as superman with little to NO weaknesses. He just annoys the sh*t out of me, and his suppose to have the innocence of a child. He just seems like a little b*tch in this
also research tells me (by that I mean wiki lol) captain marvel seems unstoppable so i'm ashamed of the creators
superman is portrayed like our saviour, a person to watch over us and protect us when we need him, HOWEVER a person whos too over powered is pointless and not someone you can look up to when he doesn't face the same trials and tribulations and weaknesses sometimes us humans face, hence the importance of weakness against magic and kryptonite and REQUIRES the suns power
but captain marvel doesn't seem to have an off switch and is practically invulnerable, infact i have no idea why bats missile blew him out of his ultimate form when supermans powerful blows didn't even knock captain marvel out
according to the VERSUES series made on youtube for us nerds, based on the "who would win in a fight" scenario, example superman vs goku
and from the video it says superman modern can protect his mind from mental attacks and knows pressure point attacks too
i guess this is why they powered him up abit because of other characters who seem to be too over powered
Yeah I don't think they put much thought in Superman when they created him. They made him super-duper-ultra strong then realized that it would make for *beep* comics when no one can actually threaten him.
So they came up with ridiculous weaknesses like magic and -even lamer- a tiny piece of kryptonite. So now you have ridiculous enemies like Lex Luthor, who bring the so called 'saviour of humanity' to his knees with spoonful of kryptonite in their pockets.

A cliché. That "interpretation" of Superman points towards a lack of imagination.
