Who was the man...*spoilers ahead*

Folks, the question I have is who do you all think was the man that gave the researcher all the info about the missing at the beginning of the film? My guess is its the usher, the man we see at the end of the film as the researcher goes into the movie theater.

Should that be the case, that means this film began with those two men and ends with them.

Interesting...

Any thoughts...

Well the actor Lee Wilkof is credited as the clerk and the usher so that's pretty definite. As for it ending and beginning with both him and Teddy....I have no idea, I thought for a moment ,at the end, that each hiker had the same outcome as Teddy (that they fell onto the road outside the theatre) and saw the death of who they loved (Daryl would see Erin bleed slowly to death and beg him to help, Walter would see Melissa and Teddy happily leave together and he would be alone, Jill would see everyone leave without her etc etc) but I scrapped that when I saw that Teddy was surrounded by everyone from the 40s walk and wondered why they were all together but Teddy was alone?

Maybe the clerk/usher/man behind the curtain needs someone who is obsessed with the road to keep him (alive? in belief?) sustained and Teddy is the only one who is that dedicated and that's why no-one else in town gives it much thought. Not sure where that theory puts Liv though? Problem with this movie is every answer makes more questions lol
