If Cube was so cool and hip, how the hell...
... did he end up acting in all these lame-ass movies lately ?
share... did he end up acting in all these lame-ass movies lately ?
shareSame reason Elvis was in cheesy movies....manager makes him, it's a caveat in his contract.
sharewhat do you mean lately? other than those jump street movies, all his other movies suck. This is because he sucks at acting and always has sucked
shareBoyzNtheHood & Three Kings aren't bad movies
shareboyz n the hood was really good and friday was super funny
shareYou think 21 Jump Street was a good movie? Thank you for demonstrating that we shouldn't listen to your movie opinions
shareAnaconda was so much fun lol
sharePlease provide a link to his contract. I'd like to read more about this caveat that you speak of.
shareLook it up yourself.
shareCan't look up what doesn't exist. Now go *beep* yourself.
shareYou also can't look up what people don't make public knowledge on the internet. If you think its implausible for Cube to sign a contract to do X number of stupid comedies for a payday, your an idiot.
shareI never said it was implausible. But I'm always amused by people who accuse others of being idiots when they neither comprehended what was said and don't know how to spell.
shareThen what point were you trying to make? The only thing anyone could comprehend from your sarcastic, two-sentence post is that you're a dick. And I bet you creamed your jeans when you saw I made a mistake. But what do I care what a person who doesn't know the difference between a grammatical error and a spelling error thinks.
share"Your" is a spelling error, not a grammatical one. And now we know, in addition to not having any comprehension skills and knowing the difference between 'you're' and "your," that you don't know the difference between a spelling error and a grammatical one. Thanks for predictably continuing to show who the idiot is, Idiot.
shareYour being a douche-bag - Grammatical error. Yoi're being a douche-bag - Spelling error.
share"manager makes him, it's a caveat in his contract." - Statement passed off as fact. "You also can't look up what people don't make public knowledge on the internet." - Means he wouldn't know, just as you don't, and without a source to support the statement, is invalid.
shareHe was responding to a question on imdb, not writing an article for the New York Times. We all know some shmoe online isn't familiar with Ice Cubes business dealings but it's reasonable enough to assume Ice Cubes agent or somebody suggested he sign on to do terrible comedies for the paycheck.
shareHe responded as though it were a fact. Hence, I asked to see a link to the source, to which there is none. Yes, it is reasonable to assume an agent or someone suggested it, but suggesting something and making someone do something by way of a caveat in a contract are two very different things. Well, maybe not to someone who lacks comprehension skills.
sharemanager makes him, it's a caveat in his contract.
Slavery ended in 1865. Pretty sure Ice makes his own decisions.

Excuse me but, I seriously doubt anyone can "make" Cube do anything. As illustrated in SOC, he's totally against signing cheezy ass contracts. Don't like his movies, don't watch them.

Acting is a job. It's not a matter of cool or hip. He made it out of the hood 25 years ago. Why do you act like he's still there? Being smart enough to have a career making movies doesn't make him uncool. He's allowed to move on.
shareI never said it's uncool to make movies, but for someone with such a backbone and artistic talent it's hard to understand how he would accept to play ONLY in such crap movies.
You could argue that DeNiro plays in crap movies also, well yeah, you'd be right, however when someone thinks of him as an actor - those are not the titles that first come to mind ;)
Crap movies, isn't that a matter of opinion? Everybody doesn't think they're crap. If you don't like them, don't watch them. Who are you to say what's crap and what's not? ....and please...please, update your vocabulary before criticizing someone. cool? hip? Nobody but lames and grandmothers still talk like that.
shareExactly.
And *beep* it's still a better and more lucrative job that most of us will ever have.
Called a paycheck. Give him his props. He's smart enough to understand he'll never be a great actor, but that he can still make a good living making films.
shareMoney walks and *beep* talks
shareNot a lame movie and Cube is not cool, he is dope.
