I'm a little hesitant about this being a Lifetime original, but it does seem promising and I'll probably tune in for the premiere. Thoughts?

Even if it's on Lifetime, I'm still intrigued. Michel'le's got one of the best voices in R&B and her contributions to both Ruthless and Death Row are important. It will also be interesting to see the darker side of Dr. Dre that SoC omitted.
What was disturbing for me is seeing ads for this biopic on social media and hearing misogynistic idiots and trolls commenting on how "Michel'le was a ho" and other sexist garbage. She was involved with Dre and Suge, but her relationship with Suge began after it ended with Dre (and he left Death Row). Dre and Suge also cheated on and abused her, so why do they get a pass? Got to love double standards in hip-hop.
In all honesty, I knew little to nothing about Michel’le for the first time around, outside of her troubled relationship with Dr. Dre. And that she is one of the few women to speak out about his behavior. I listened to some of her songs and I agree that she does seem like a unique talent under Ruthless and Death Row Records at the time. I’m surprised she didn’t make it out as big like she should really had, but I could definitely understand the personal circumstances she was going through around that point. I think it’s great that her story will get out there more as a supplement to what this movie never showed.
It sounds like those people on social media don’t really know who she is or are just diehard fans of Dr. Dre and Surge to bother researching enough about her.
