I don't think I have seen a more poorly written movie, in all my years of theater going. I am flabbergasted at how this thing got made, and why Michael Caine accepted the movie with such an empty script. Its Deus ex machina on acid, with no redeeming qualities. It rivals Tron 2 as the worst movie I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of bad movies. My brain hurt and my stomach was nauseated while watching this... I am not sure what this thing was.

shareI would not subject my kids to that drivel. They used to make good family films, that the whole family could enjoy. They were intelligent, and well crafted, and it didn't insult the intelligence of your kids. They deserve more than this disgusting mess, from the create of PG Porn.

shareMy kids have watched a gamut of good family films. They've seen many Chaplin films, What's Up Doc, Safety Last, etc.... But they also like mindless drivel like this.
Just as they made "good" films back in our days, they also made a truckload of crap, as well. Just because kids watch, and enjoy, simple films sometimes doesn't mean they can't enjoy more complex, deep films.
And like I mentioned elsewhere, there are at least a few kids inspired by the films to read the books.
Not sure why the movie is soo bad in your opinion. Basic "what if" the Island of Atlantis was real. Lots of intriguing visuals for the kids, the Rock for some beefcake, and Vanessa for eye candy. A cool submarine and last second rescues from sure death.
Might even get the kids to read some Julies Vern, who knows.

I literally am convinced that this is the worst movie I have seen in recent memory. It actually hurt to sit through, and I am embarrassed that I even suggested this movie, let alone to the kids, but the poor unknowing adults who accompanied them. Not a troll, not a hater, just a normal person warning others to stay clear of this utter slap in the face of a movie.
Oh and there are serial posters who troll every movie good or bad to cause trouble. You can just put ignore, and their posts will disappear.
