Historical accuracy?

I just wondered if anyone had commented on the historical accuracy in this film (which I confess I just heard about today, but am curious about seeing someday).

And please, no need to remind me that "Films are for entertainment and profit." This is a legitimate question to ask about ANY film purporting to be based upon historical figures or events, and that's part of the fun, separating the fact from the fiction.

Thanks in advance!

Most of Confucius' contemporaries have passed away, so I fear it will be difficult to gauge the historical accuracy. :-(

We can judge historical accuracy based on evidence. We don't have to have living contemporaries. Otherwise we could only verify stuff that happened in the last century or so.

Most? ;) Excellent! Let's ask the ones who are still around!

One of the reviews addresses this. Short answer, not very accurate.
