Ok, It is such a bad movie but the ending was...Samara..Run, Beast snarls, then the bloody ferris wheel falls crushing both the beast and Lou Diamond Phillips, killing them both. We see the beasts arm wither away behind cgi wreckage. Lou Diamond Phillips is sitting against his truck with a piece of metal through his heart bleeding from his mouth..
Samara: You didn't have to do that.
Lou: I did what had to be done....DIES
Roll credits and bad bad song to match a bad bad movie...
Why do I keep renting this crap???

there is a little more to the ending then that. yes what they describe did happen, but most don't realize that samara's prediction did happen, and that scene showed her prediction. she predicted that what was gonna kill the monster was rope, wave, broken heart. she also predicted death. so if you look carefully when they show lou on the ground. they do a close to a piece of cable "rope", then his hand moves briefly like a "wave", also the dying monster does a similar wave, then you see lou's broken heart with the impaled metal that is sticking out of his chest. but i think samara was falling in love with lou's character too. then he dies. still not the greatest ending. but just a little something to think of.
shareSee, this is the way old fashioned monster movies end. What did you expect?? We have all seen soooo much worse. It is what it is, a syfy movie; very decent and well done as far as it goes. Enjoy it, don't study it!
