Another possible interpretation

First i have to say that this movie is really good and i liked each and every part of it except the part involving Ravi Kishan and Sonali Kulkarni ...Having said that I would like to add that Shyam Benegal has very cleverly made the movie in a format which makes it possible to interpret the entire movie in another light.
The story is told in flashbacks which Armaan Ali tells his boss when asked why he was late in returning from his village ... i think there is a clever twist in this which allows us to interpret the film in another way, that is that the story which Armaan ali tells is a complete lie which he tells to his boss to save his job, we have no evidence that the events actually happens as it is just his words..... the last comment that his boss makes also strengthens this theory when he says that he has seen nothing about Armaan's story in the news channel as he claimed the news channel was covering this issue extensively during elections, to which Armaan Ali very cleverly replies that his boss is always too busy to watch television
