I didn't hate it, exactly

But I pretty much hated every single character, there was kind of a pretentious vibe to it overall, and the story was constructed in a way that never fully engaged me, that often seemed underdeveloped, and that usually didn't seem to justify character actions very well.

Too much was underexplained, too, and it seemed like they bit off more than they could chew, especially for a 90-minute film. For example, the early introduction to all of the other Asian gangs in Queens was superfluous--none of them really show up again aside from the White Tigers.

I know that sounds like I should have hated it, but it's well-made in most other technical aspects, the potential of the story and characters kept me interested enough even if it was ultimately frustrating, and being a New Yorker, the setting kept me interested.
