Anyone else notice the always-on TV show?

The one that features a woman who keeps going on about how fun going down to the sewers to float is, and there's this creepy child audience behind her, and how it seems to be the only kids' TV show on in Derry, and how even the adults watch it too! Has Pennywise cornered the TV market in Derry or is it simply one of his projections to intimidate children, as usual?

Having hated the movie, the kids show was actually one of the scariest parts for me. That's the kind of shit i was hoping to see more of. Because a CGI monster clown is just too alien and unrelatable to haunt me. I want It to make me scared of turning on the TV or radio or flip through photo albums because he might subtly appear. When bev came home and you cluld hear the kids show in the background talkimg about playing in the sewers and floating... fucking shit. That's eerie as hell! Why didn't they put the clown in the arcade machine richie was playing? Why didn't It creep up in Ben's headphones while listening to New Kids? Imagine your listening to a boy band and they start singing "float float flo-o-o-oat! The right stuff!" Just subtly creeping into their everyday lives, you know? This movie did not haunt me. All the scares wore off as soon as they were executed. Lame.

Ahahaha one sentence into reading and I knew it was you before checking haha.

Agreed so much, this is the kind of thing that would've made it more slow boil instead of jump scares. Part of why it might lend itself better to a TV series of 10 episodes or something.

Absolutely agreed. That would have made the movie much better. As it is, it is pretty bad.

I'm not sure but I quite enjoyed that TV moment (guess they were two) and especially when IT was communicating to Henry. Good stuff!
