1 year of post-production?

I don't think post-production will take 1 year. It's just that the date of release is decided by the distributor, that is a different society and different people from the producers.

The distributor chose that date because it was an empty spot on there schedule of releases, or because they think it's a good period for horror genere, or because it will have little or no competition.

1 year of post-production... is for bigger budget movies :)

The movie's post-prod work will most lkkely be done lkng before then. As said before, the release date is chosen by distributors. The movie is set in summer, needing summer shoots, and shooting in June-August for q movie released that September is ridiculous
