I can't with how adorable these kids are!

They look so much younger than the original kids.

More original than the stars in the miniseries? I guess thats the goal, which is good. It, hunted the young and confused. As kids, we all believed in monsters. Good thing to bring to this table. These young actors will blow us away.

I really got hyped about film when the casting was announced, I can't wait to see them all on the screen and bringing the characters to life.

Having that said ... I stumbled across something yesterday that actually shocked and bothered me a bit, specifically something Jack Grazer (Eddie Kaspbrak) said while the cast were doing a live stream and answering questions for fans.

I wanted to just think of it as, hey, they're kids, just as we all once were. And kids have a tendency to come off as rude and say things that they don't realize could be taken very wrongly. But I just have to admit, this caught me pretty off guard.

I'd rather not repeat the slur he yelled out, but it's around the 3:40 mark of this video. https://www.periscope.tv/oleff_wyatt/1LyxBbowVoMxN

that link doesnt show anything.....what did he do?

The link should have taken you directly to the "Untitled" video from 2 months ago.

Anyway, Wyatt and Finn were trying to answer questions on video, Jaeden also joins them at one point. Jack kept running in and yelling random things to interrupt them, This prompted Wyatt to finally tell someone to just "close the door" and directly afterwards, Jack reappears and cusses, shouting that he hates Wyatt and calls him a slur.

I wanted to think maybe this was a put on, but the reaction Wyatt has to it is very legit. He's shocked and isn't happy about it at all.

Lol, towards the end of the video though, I guess Jack got mad and kicked the door and you can hear him crying. "Mom! I can't find my phone and my toe hurts!" Jaeden pops back into the room to laugh and say he hurt himself, to which Wyatt and Finn just reply "Oh, okay. Good for him."

You can tell they weren't exactly in the best of moods after that incident.

Jack's a total spaz. In so far as his ability to play Eddie, who knows.

reply

Agreed. From his instagram you can tell he jokes around a lot. I'd like to think he was just joking around in the video, but that went a little far.

reply

Is anyone brave enough to tell me what was said...

...as I really cannot make out anything from that video!? 😕

I'll PM you, because I don't want a troll to stumble across a post and try to report my account for a slur.

WTF?!

What a little freak.

Every time I try and play the video, firefox crashes at 3:43.

reply

Yeah, I also should have specified that he said "I hate you, Wyatt". Wyatt looked genuinely surprised, although he recovered quickly, and continued replying to his followers(?). Still, I wonder if production, or the studio will delete that video?

reply

Yeah, from their other videos I've gotten the impression that Grazer tends to be like that a lot and they're all good friends and have learned to tolerate him, though can get fed up and annoyed sometimes. At the end of that video you hear Jack stub his toe or something and start crying, and Jaeden pops in to tell them about it and he's cracking up.

In another video done by Finn, he actually says that Wyatt and Jack are "like best friends, but it's definitely a love/hate kind of relationship."

I followed all the kids on Instagram during filming to see if they post set photos. I had to unfollow Jack Grazer after a week or so because the crap he posted was unbearable to me. Not saying I wasn't an annoying kid or anything, and I do get he's only 11 or so, but there was seriously cringe-worthy stuff on his feed. Anyway. Let's hope his Eddie portrayal is good though, the filmmakers seemed to think especially highly of him.

reply

Yeah, likewise. I'm still following all the others. But I took Jack off after this video.

Kids do annoying things, they say stuff that they may think is just a joke, but sometimes it goes way too far.

I do hope he plays a good Eddie. Kind of am hoping we see Bowers break his arm though, lol

I don't get it: did he say "I hate you, Wyatt", or the other?

That's cause the kids in the original were actually to old. In the novel the Losers were 11 / 12 years old. In the miniseries they looked like 15 / 16 years old

My father was a drunk, a gambler and a womanizer. I idolized him

reply

The age range of the kids in the mini series was I think from 11-16. Seth green who played Richie was 15 and the kid who played Stan was actually 16. However I thought they both looked 13. Also didn't I read somewhere that the kid playing Mike in the upcoming movie actually just turned 15? He looks young. All the kids are supposed to be thirteen but I am sure the actors ages vary.
