Flashbacks in part one?

Haven't heard of the adults being in part 1 ...which is kind of disappointing due to this movie was supposed to be more like the book (read it twice) and if the first part doesn't do good there will be no 2nd part? That's so stupid because the first part probably ends with a sequal in the future..

The way I see it happening is the first movie will either end with the house on Niebolt, or it will end with the first sewer confrontation. Either way, it could still be closer to the novel than the mini without including the adults.

The book it flashes back the adults are in the beginning of the book same as the kids

Well, just because they're not doing flashbacks with the kids like the book, doesn't mean it's not going to be faithful to it, just the structure of the storytelling is going to be more linear which for a two hour film is much better for character development.

Doesn't mean anything. The losers stories as kids can easily be isolated, which is what's being done here. Won't make it any less faithful, and if they did do it like that, the movie would come out like a series of segments rather than a full on movie. What works for one thing (novel) won't necessarily work for another (movie). Personally, I'm fine with how they're doing it.

On a side note, people seem to think that the movie needs to do well in order for there to be a part II. I don't think that's the case. The full story was always gonna be told. It was probably agreed to be in two parts regardless of of how well the first did.

That's precisely why they're not using the flashback structure. The children part of the plot can work fine as a stand alone story in the event that part 2 doesn't materialize.
