The REAL reason why Cary left...
I haven't read it yet, but from what I'm hearing from the ones who read it, I'm starting to speculate the REAL reason why Cary left. People was saying it was from offensive sexual natures and someone came up with their reasons, and that article of Cary explaining why he left and at the same time, calling out New Line, it really was "creative differences" but more as him shying away from the source material too much, New Line didn't like that I guess they really wanted to follow more of the book. People was losing their mind and hope on the film because the studio "fired him" (not true), one of the most talented, acclaimed directors in the film industry and hired a "decent" director who did a short and full length critically liked film that people talks sh!t just cause of Fukunaga. At least, Muschietti is more of a fan of the book that Fukunaga or somewhat respects it. Didn't Fukunaga say it himself at one point that he didn't think the fans wouldn't like what he did with the script. I mean, it didn't have to be scene by scene but at the same time, don't drastically change stuff around just cuz, my opinion, you feel like it's not organic enough or the characters are too archetypes and conventional and choosing more of your eventful childhood memories to the source material would be more positively responded bcuz your a well known talented director. Mind as well just remake the miniseries than adapted the source material. But from the reception of the script is somewhat mixed, now people praying for Muschietti to do a better job. I hope so.
