Does anyone know how D. Ray White was murdered? All I can seem to find out is that it was in 1985 and it was seemingly on his front lawn.
The movie was wild. I enjoyed it.
Watch "Dancing Outlaw", it's explained there much better than anyone could tell you. You will see there wasn't much of a "lawn".
shareHe was murdered over an altercation between the killer (I forgot his name) Dorsey White and Jesco White. On The Dancing Outlaw video Jesco tells the story how he loaned his sunglasses to Dorsey and when he came back to get them the glasses were broke and Dorsey had a black eye. The fight between Dorsey and the other guy escalated and he shoved D Ray White. That made Jesco snap and he then beat the crap out of the guy who later came back with a shotgun and shot Jesco in the neck, Dorsey in the face and D Ray through the chest and killed him. Dorsey lived, but lost an eye (he was later shot and killed, I think- I know he is now dead).
Other than losing D Ray, Jesco's mother Birtie Mae (who passed away last year) had to see 7 of her children buried.
Man that sucks. I cant imagine how painful it is to see even ONE of your children buried, but seven? wow

It's listed on Wikipedia that D.Ray's daughter Mamie was married to Billy Hastings, the man who started the fight that killed D. Ray White. She is now known as "Mamie Warner."
