Wow! There are just so many disturbing things about this film I don't know where to start! It broke my heart watching the kids being taught to go down the same worthless road of drugs, alcohol and violence. Seeing that little girl cursing on the playground towards the end of the film; knowing what kind of life she was leaning towards. I'd like to see CPS take every one of those kids. The adults (?) are probably too far gone to help.

I wonder where "Derkie's" son's mother is. Instead we have Bo raising him, from what we can see, while Derkie continues acting like a spoiled and self-indulgent child.
At least Kirk was raising Tyler on her own, it seemed, until she had the baby and "all hell broke loose" as the Whites themselves would say.
But then, all these times incarcerated, who do you suppose is raising Tyler (and Monica, if she is not back with the state)?
The whole "grandmother raising the kids" thing is so rampant in the family.
