Reading the description is reminds me so much of Sally Fields old movie - Not Without My Daughter.
shareThe Sally Fields movie isn't even close to this one. Although, I haven't seen the Sally Fields movie and I only read a quick description on Wikipedia, I can tell you that Twice Born is a more complex story.
shareWow. The description you saw must've been very misleading. I have seen both films and please know with confidence that they're essentially nothing alike. Totally different plots, countries, characters, situations, etc. The Fields' film/NWMD was about a wife not being able to bring her young daughter home from Iran after a visit in the early 80's. This film is about a passionate couple that is having fertility issues during the start of the Bosnian war in the 90's. If you know anything about that war and its atrocities of genocide and mass rape, then you can rest assured the plot is unrelated...and disturbing in a totally different way.
I don't want to give anything away, but you'll completely understand after you see this intense film.
