I thought Gemma thought Diegeo (Emile Hirsch) was the father. Why did she say Gojco was the father? Then of course we find out it was a soldier who was the "father". Could somebody explain to me why she thought Gojco was the father?

She never thought Gojko was the Father. Why do you think so? Gemma believed Diego was cheating with Aska and she got pregnat with him. She always believed that Diego is Pietro's father. But in fact Aska was raped for months in a rape camp so we don't really know who the "father" was. Diego gave the baby the chance to be loved and have normal family...

Gemma NEVER thought Gojco was the father; you must have misunderstood some dialog. She believed Diego was the father up until Aska recounts her rape story and the salvation he provided both of them...and the baby that Gemma would ultimately raise as her own.
