Why didn't Diego go with Gemma and the baby? It's not like Gemma wanted to raise a baby as a single mom - she wanted a baby with him, in their live, with his feet, etc. Why did Diego, in the end, send her off with Aska's rape

Didnt he fall in love with Aska? He tattooed her neck and she was calling him "my love" perhaps her fell for her because of how vulnerable she was and how much she needed him to protect/save her. Plus he was sharing this secret with Aska from Gemma and it brought him and Aska closer and him and Gemma further apart.
shareDiego felt responsible for Aska. He was there and didn't help her when she needed it. He did like her as well but I don't think he loved her. Gemma was the love of his life. I think the reason why he didn't want Gemma to know the story was not to destroy her as it destroyed him. He was also ashamed. I think the only thing keeping him alive was his need to help Aska and the baby she was carrying. Once that was done he was too. But I do think Aska was a bit in love with him at the beginning. He might have been attracted to her as she was young and beautiful. Free spirit.
