Horror vs stupid?

This movie highlighted to me how much contempt the writers must have for the audience. Hitchcock asserted that movie makers should always give the audience credit for having some intellingence. To me, horror movies cease to be scary and lapse into banality when they defy logic. I feel that the most terrifying horror movies are ones that could actually occur.
As soon as the creature made an appearance in this movie, I thought to myself, "Here we go - more bulls**t!"
Please, horror writers and directors, get some reality please.

Well Opinions are like ass holes everyone has one.

By your logic you would have "no" monster movies, "no" overtly supernatural movies, "no" zombie movies, very limited alien genre movies...

So you pretty much reduced horror movies down to slasher, soft supernatural horror (The Innocence) and torture porn...

See the flaw in your logic...

This movie just wasn't for you ... and the people that liked it are no more or no less intelligent then you.

Ya might want to stick with Psychological horror movies.

It seems sad that you choose to attack me personally because I have an opinion which differs to yours, but I guess that is what bullies do. I have had to deal with standover merchants and bullies all my life. No one has an opinion but them.
The producer and writers of this very ordinary film will gain heart that someone is defending it.
