glaring error in final scene

Granted, for most of the movie viewers must suspend belief on what they are seeing for the most part, I understand that. When they return to the Anartica and the penguin known as "Captain"-the same one that flew off the zoo building top to the limo, walks off to lay her egg, the egg drops onto the ice. In reality penguins never dropp their eggs on the ice's surface as they would immediately freeze, they keep the eggs on the top of their feet-even when the eggs goes from one parent to the other they always ensure the egg never touches the ice.....
