Appearantly he changed his fathers nature, and made his parents fall in love b4 they got married. So when he came back, ppl respected his father for being a "man" and his parents love each other. Maybe they meant to say that no one remembered him for 33 years? Pretty stupid movie tho.

They focused too much on their past and making them fall in love w/each other. How does that correct the faulty marriage they had in the future... So basically this guy goes and ALTERS their past, the past they never ever lived...
