Usually they've just been showing out-takes with the closing credits, but this time they really had something original! It was offbeat, funny and totally unexpected. And what would you call it? It wasn't really a music video. And how did they come up with the idea? I would nominate this the best closing credits number ever! Wish there would be more song and dance numbers before the end credits, but you can't have everything.

Actually they had an unrelated dance number by Ranvir Kapur (guess i got both the names spelt wrong) in the movie Chillar Party at the end (song Tnai Tnai Fiss)...after the film narrative ends. Cannot remember now if it had end credits on it..but it came on full-screen and not on half like in Pungi. So Chillar Party possibly will take the prize for ideation here. But of course Pungi is in its own class.
I have not seen many people stand and watch a movie to its very end of scrolling the way it happened in Vinod...a very nice idea, song and a great Saif. It also did justice to the humongous scroll of names who have worked on this movie. On my second viweing I tried to catch the names of the units..and was much impressed.... they really went round the world trying to make this movie. I liked the movie very much so rather disappointed to see the reaction at the boxes.
