Factual Inaccuracies

Nice movie this, I mean, the sound track, editing, action sequences have taken Bollywood action to the next level. However, there were some typical flaws in this movie -

1. The boss of Agent Vinod is muslim. RAW has not recruited ANY muslims and has an explicit policy of not recruiting muslims. You can only find muslims in IB not RAW.
2. In Karachi, Saif salutes a person in typical hyderabadi fashion and says "adab". No one in Pakistan uses that salutation, its centric to Lucknow and Hyderabad in India.

I think some muslims are in RAW as ccontacts in muslim countries. Or else how do they operate there? AV was bold enough to show RAW chief to be a muslim...a politically correct and desirable stand.

Do not have much knowledge on point 2. But haven't we got some clips where even Jinnah is saluting like this?

reply

Yes its a politically correct standpoint but factually inaccurate. They do employ handlers at lower levels who are muslims but no senior position is given to Muslims. Also, Jinnah was a Gujrati Indian Muslim, he did the "adaab" but generally no one else does it.

I agree on this point.....I think instead of an 'Adaab' they do an 'As-salam-e-alekum'.

Am I right?

reply

Yes, a formal As salam alaykom or a less formal "salam" or even the generic "ki haal"

No one uses adaab in Pakistan, secondly they showed cars with Kabul number plates in Karachi, how the hell is this possible. Lastly Lokha, was he supposed to be a Pakistani ?
