Seriously it just proves Hollywood will definitely do anything to make money!
Why do they have to make it part of the Free Willy franchise? It was great as a trilogy! And seriously...BINDI IRWIN?!?! As if the fact that the story doesn't even connect to the originals and doesn't include Willy isn't bad enough!

Keiko, who played Willy in the first 3, died in '03 in Norway. I don't know anything about this as this is the first I am hearing about it but if it truly is another Willy movie then I think it's kind of insulting to Keiko. I mean could you imagine an everybody loves raymond reunion and have them recast Frank, NO, so they shouldn't recast Willy.

Because I remember reading that this film is about a young girl starting a friendship with a young orca whale. Willy wouldn't still be young in 2009!

i'm hoping it's not about willy being in captivity again. otherwise if it is then the world will be worried about the new orca that will be playing willy in this one. i know it. i feel it.

keiko did play in the second or third otherwise they would have never credited the whale. not to mention they used one of the huge pools like they do in some of the other movies like pearl harbor. They do tours about it at MGM Studios...
shareruggs is right. keiko was in the second, and the third. if he wasn't they wouldn't have put in the trivia that for the third movie it was keiko's final film. i'm pretty sure that when he went to oregon they probably taped him doing stuff in that pool and probably used that as him playing willy for the 3rd. i don't know it's hard for me to explain all these details of it. i'm a television major. i've seen the way how they do these things before. but however i just wonder why they would consider making the fourth one? and since they already did i wonder if they are planning on dedicating this one in memory of keiko. that would meen alot to the people of the foundation of free willy and the fans of his.

i don't know if they should have casted tilly. after all thats happened. i meen what if he attacks the camera person or the cast. thats a major issue. the director and the producers are looking for a whale that will match the script. they don't want a whale that has caused a horrible tragedy like tily did with that trainer.
