Willy was fake. Insult to FW Films.

Anybody bothered by the fact they used a FAKE WHALE for mostly this whole film.

yeah!!!
I think 95% of whale scenes were CGI.
5% was probably leftover film from the first 2.
That was lost on my 7 year old son who loved it.

But is that a surprise given that all kinds of people are freaking out that there are any orcas in captivity to began with? It's not like you can just go wrangle an orca out of open water and expect it to do what you want (despite the difficulty of doing so, it's actually now completely illegal, all new orcas in captivity are born there.) And yet many unintelligent people seem to think even those should be released to the wild - so where exactly would they get an orca to film with Bindi? The first star of the films (Keiko) was released because of the activism for him to be after the movies, did him a lot of good too, he was dead in just a few years and spent most of his time in a harbor for human interaction. Activists have a great cause but they don't seem to think their plans through. Okay, I'm off my soap box. Sucks, but CGI was pretty much their only options.

Are you going to dip it in yogourt? Cover it with chocolate buttons?

There was also the option of not making the movie at all!

I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day...and tomorrow don't look good either.

FYI, other than the first film when Keiko was actually in captivity, most of the films uses 'fake' whales.... and thank god!

OP is NOT an Orca lover.

It's not just that they didn't use a real whale. It was that the CGI was AWFUL! Ruined the film.
