Just a couple of things missing . . .

This movie had everything except an idea, a story, a screenplay, dialogue, interesting characters, and someone who knew how to work a camera. What it did have was an unattractive, creepy, nearly mute main male character named Alex, and snow. It seems somebody forgot to write this movie. The dialog was either so sparse that the viewer wanted to slap somebody, or overlapping and unintelligible (which was probably improvised by the poor actors) while the camera focused on Alex, the most colorless man in the universe. I truly wanted him to commit suicide. This waste of time starts out with Alex staring silently at his personality free wife and ends with him staring meaninglessly at his personality free wife. Oh, and SPOILER ALERT, the thing that makes Helena (the title character!) so compelling is that she has a British accent. SHE doesn't say anything worth hearing either, but at least it's with an accent.
