Scene where Joshua shoots Jeff

In this scene, Joshua shoots Jeff from behind (Jeff is the druggie who told Joshua that Tahoe was out to kill Vincent)

Vincent was sitting just on the other side of the table from Jeff. I'm not a gun expert, but I would think that the slug would go through Jeff's head and hit Vincent, or at least Vincent would have been splattered by gray matter and blood and chunks of skull.
