Why wasn't Holly's dead husband identified as such after they found him? If the investigators did, the connection would've been clear from the beginning, no?

With the Priest refusing to disclose the dead man's name, and the Police saying they had no DNA, no prints, and no dental records, how would they be able to ID him?

Just because he had the necklace as the guy in the basement doesn't prove they are the same person, there could be thousands of those same necklaces.
