I'm only 1/4 through it, but my anxiety is off the charts...I'm highly suspicious of the aunt. The time frame from the first kid 26 years before, her talking of her family leaving, and her nephew singing the song that the girls were singing...I'm trying not to fast forward as the suspense is intense!
shareI was right! It was the aunt. I'm upset by the end. When the detective shakes his head when he thinks he heard something and then the movie abruptly ends...I didn't like that. I was hoping he would be perceptive enough to find the father in the hole under the car. Very suspenseful movie, but the aunt was suspicious to me from the beginning based on the time frame and relation to other characters.
Did anyone else think it was the aunt? What did you think about the ending?
Apparently the detective was shaking his head at what he thought he heard, and it was the sound of the father using the whistle that his daughter had left down in the hole. It makes sense from when the mother talked about the daughter being confused and how she had actually found the whistle before she was abducted.
