Does Jake G really have an eye tic or squint or was that part of his role? You see it on and off throughout the film.

shareI came here to ask the exact same question. I have seen most of Jake's films, both old and new, and never noticed it before. Does anyone know for sure whether it was part of the character, whether he has an eye problem, or is he simply a victim of Tourette Syndrome like myself? One of my earliest and longest-lasting tics since childhood was squinting my eyes exactly as he did in this film.

shareI saw it as his way of dealing with all the stress and remaining calm. He knows he can't act out in anger and that was his way of keeping it all in.
