Stupid (spoiler alert)

A good thriller marred by a poor ending. Jackman's character is so stupid and weak at the end it's embarrassing. Any reasonably fit and marginally intelligent man could have taken the Old woman down safely and searched. The cop wasn't much better. The writer clearly had no idea how tough real cops are and united when children are involved. They would have swat teamed that bitch into oblivion in 5 minutes.

Loki wasn't at fault; he was being demeaned by his superiors the entire time for not finding any conclusive evidence.

Now when I saw Wolverine not try to tackle that old bitch.. that pissed me off. He likely would have taken a bullet but 65% chance he wouldnt have taken it in amy vital organs or arteries. If it was my kid I would have tried, instead of drinking the kool aid.

Now when I saw Wolverine not try to tackle that old bitch ...
Yeah! I should have remembered too. Bullets don't really affect Wolverine.🐭

You're the biggest idiot I've read on these message boards. You go into a house and have a woman stand there with a gun on you and than drug you and tell me you would have tried to over power her. Guess what you'd be dead you dumbass. Watch the movie with some intelligence and than come back here.

I think they mean he should have charged her before consuming the black goo.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

Just because yore

reply

Ahahah, you see too many American movies I guess. I would pay to see how you would really react if a man/woman/old woman would put a gun on you stanging 3/4 mt from you.
Probably you'll eat your own *beep* if they told you so lol.

reply

Been there, done that, and 4 guys went to prison and one to the hospital. I didn't come from a third world cesspool.

reply

Lol, for your information, third world cesspools is where you are more likely to be taken at gunpoint.

reply

Lived in some of the worst places on earth including the last 14 years outside the US. There are many people on earth quite different from you thank goodness.

reply

What is this tough guy *beep*

*beep* moron.

reply

im surprised no one mentions that he shouldn't have turned his back on her in first place. He walks in and says "I dont want to have to hurt you" with his back turned.. what an idiot. He had a gun with him, he should have threatened her immediately since he knew she was guilty. Not walk into her house, face the sink, and then say "I dont want to have to hurt you" :/ He walked right into that whole scenario and just went along with it.

reply

She's an old fragile lady. He didn't know she'd have a gun at hand. He wasn't an idiot, he was just oblivious to that she'd might have a gun too, captain hindsight.

And you'd be dead if you tried to do what you're saying

As it is, he made the smart choice because he lived in the end

reply

A SWAT team? Detective Loki wasn't send to Holly Jones to take her down, he was send there to notify her that "her nephew" Alex had been found. You watch too many actions films, kid.

I was pretty pissed off too. If the movie was being consistent with the character in this scene, he would have knocked on the door with the gun in his *beep* hand and tied that bitch up within minutes until he found the kid/s. This is the same guy who's been torturing a mentally handicapped, albeit guilty, man for the entire movie and now he plays completely nice with someone he KNOWS either has the kids, knows where they are, or has some sort of information that they're withholding from him?

If he really wanted to have escaped, he could have rushed her when hey were walking out with the gun to his back, she was standing slightly too close to him briefly and she's an old *beep* woman, he probably still would have gotten shot in the process but not fatally wounded. So many moment's of cowardice during that whole scene from a man shown to do literally anything he can to get his daughters back.

Also, how does an entire *beep* police department damn near not look under the goddamn car!!?!!? Give me a break. A guy who's solved every case he's ever taken on doesn't not go through every inch of the *beep* premises.

I call *beep* on the entire scene.

reply

I'd like to see you handle it if you had a gun in your back. You bitch for the sake of bitching, it doesn't make it stupid or plot holes that you act like a premature tough guy. When should they look under the car? They've never had reason to look under the car. If you followed the movie you'd realize that yes, Loki has solved every case, but this time it was more a coincidence that he had to go back to Holly Jones. You can call it stupid, but there's hundreds of cases where police overlooks the obvious only to come back later and figure it out. That's also why he makes a face when he realizes it's been right in front of his nose the whole time. Policemen are humans, they make mistakes. Stop calling it stupid and call *beep* on the scene, just cause it doesn't fit into your picture perfect ideal of everything going according to plan. Go back to your Fast & Furious unrealistic crap movies.

It actually ended perfectly. You see, this film is called "Prisoners". Keller got what he deserved. He kidnapped and tortured an innocent man who was a victim himself before Keller. You see, if Keller was found, reunited with his family and goes back to living a happy life, it would've made all that kidnapping, tormenting and torturing justified. The end leaves you in a tight spot into thinking, "So does this mean Keller is now a prisoner himself, just in a different way?"
