Tom Hardy is no Mel Gibson, that’s for sure

The guy did a decent job as Bane, but couldn’t quite pull off this role. Mad Max would never show fear or need a group of feminists to save him, this guy is an imposter.

Don't blame the actor, it's the writing that's the real problem.

The Max character has no real role in the story, he's just there to observe the fight between Furiosa and Jie, and the story would be the same if he weren't there. No, it'd be better without him to get in the way of the real conflict!

Well, Mel Gibson ain’t no Tom Hardy, that’s for DAMN SURE. Hardy has long proven to be a chameleon powerhouse of an actor and an all around badass on screen—as well as in real life for that matter. (His Bane portrayal was better than decent btw.) If he didn’t get to shine in Mad Max so much, it’s because Max was made to take a backseat (no issue for me) AND it was shown that even he could use some good help.

And you’re disgusted at the thought of a bunch of STRONG WOMEN saving Max? Lol. Would have Mel ever let this happen to his character? Of course not, he belongs to the type of crowd you approve of: the ultra alpha/anti-feminists/anti-pc men! (Luckily Hardy doesn’t think that way and didnt feel threatened and insecure by having tough gals steal the spotlight.) You folks are hilarious. Fragile lot.

Never did I mention being disgusted, nor do I think the women were “strong” but rather “Mary Sue-like”.

What’s wrong with alpha masculinity? It’s kind of hard to take a character seriously when he’s supposed to be a badass but he constantly looks scared and needs women to rescue him.

How often do women save men from physical danger in real life? I’ve literally never witnessed it so I’m a bit skeptical.

Also, Gibson has had perhaps the most successful Hollywood career in the history of Cinema whether it be as an actor or behind the camera. His IQ is off the charts. 😁

That comes as news to, oh, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Stephen Spirlberg, Walt Disney, Alfred Hitchcock, Johnny Depp, Clark Gable . . .

Never let brains and facts interfere with your heartfelt fantasies.

In real life , ive never seen anyone save anyones life.
I do know , however , there an awful lot of female paramdedics , doctors and surgeons , not to mention a few firefighters who probably have saved a few lives.

Ever since that girl showed up in starwars 7 people have been throwing this mary-sue phrase around.
If a women does anything interesting on screen , its got to be 100% believable and realistic other wise its mary-sue this and PCrubbish that and SJW blah blah ...

Yet when Arnold Shwazegger blast a couple 100 soldiers away with a machine gun , like he's playing a computer game with a cheat mode on , nobody blinks an eyelid.
