Wouldn't eating that lizard make him sick?

Wouldn't eating that lizard at the beginning of the movie have made him sick?i mean it WAS completely raw,and I don't think humans are supposed to eat lizards.

I should have known those alien maggots booby trapped this sub

Max didn't hesitate, I don't expect it was his first time.

He must have adjusted his diet to what's available in the wasteland long ago. It can't all be Dinkie Di out of a can.

pfft. go watch a few episodes of Bear Grylls shows like Man Vs Wild. a lizard is tame by his standards, and as he puts it 'protein is protein'.
"I've never eaten raw goat testicles before.. Here goes..." -Bear Grylls

"He's dusted, busted and disgusted, but he's ok"

Are you fücking serious?

This movie contains a flame-shooting guitarist strapped to the front of a truck, and this is your question?

^^This^^. The movie is fictional. Bear Grylls is a reality show(i.e. fake). Eating a lizard whole would not be kind to your stomach. The human stomach cannot digest a multitude of things. Someone once told me that they added uncooked Quinoa to their homemade trail bars for extra protein. Guess what? Raw Quinoa cannot me digested by the human stomach and just passes right through you. And rich_bruce, really? I don't think an evolutionary trait can be established in one lifetime.

Purely a movie moment that’s supposed to show how badass our hero (or one of them) of the story is. Nothing more or less.

It’s a ridiculous moment (in a good way) in a ridiculously wild film.

FYI snakes are absolutely edible, they're mostly muscle and it's a "light meat" that supposedly tastes like chicken. American frontier people would eat rattlesnake when they couldn't get any other kind of meat, they're big and plentiful and why not.

And snakes and lizards are both reptiles and one is probably as edible as the other, as long as you remember to throw out any poison glands.

You people need to get out more. The desert parks of the US SW mention the natives used to eat live lizards and bugs. It's not like they could head back to RV and fry them up.

People around the world eat raw fish. The oceans are nature's sewer for billions of years.
