I agree that Drag Me to Hell was awful. It had some potential and it just sucked after the setup. I have not seen this film yet, but I will try to pick it up for cheap at Wal-mart. Odette and Amber in bikini's is a big reason why. I hope it does not suck. A lot of people are saying it's a bad film.

it's not bad at all. if i were using ebert's rating system, i'd give it 3 stars. the story is meh but the it was well directed and watching amber and odette makes it worthwhile.

DM2H was funny and entertaining. This one was dull and depressing. The chicks were nice to look at though.

I can't even comprehend this comment. This is a D-movie retreaded story that's been told a half million times with poor acting and production that was at least able to stay out of the way.

How did you pick "Drag me to Hell" as a movie to compare it to? They had absolutely nothing in common. Nothing. You may as well have said it was not as good as "Ghostbusters" or "Jaws". I certainly don't think everyone needs to enjoy DM2H. But it's not in the same category as this film at all. It's an accomplished director going back to his roots and making a genre movie. Personally I loved it, but my only point is why compare it to a dime a dozen horror-ish remake from a director who hasn't made a feature film? I can think of 5 films that are more similar off the top of my head.

Hostel (same exact story done in the torture porn motif)
Hostel 2
Wolf Creek
Paradise Lost
A Perfect Getaway (Not exactly the same, but a better comparison in tone and category, by far)
The Beach (Danny Boyle could make a better movie in his sleep as did. It takes
the traveling adventure theme somewhere halfway interesting for a change)

...You get the idea

It's one of the best horror films in years, and i absolutely loved it!

I haven't seen this yet, but I have a hard time comparing this to Drag Me to Hell. That movie is awesome. Plain and simple. Creepy and hilarious. On purpose.

This looks like some cheesy, straight to DVD stuff.

I have not seen Drag Me to Hell but after watching this one it is hard to imagine that there would be many movies out there that are bad as And Soon the Darkness (2010), Even though the girls were eye candy and all still it was one these movies that you wonder why they were made to begin with. I just can not imagine anyone would read the script and think "Oh that would be a good movie" i mean come on...

As if the original was not bad enough
