Oh, Jesus.

The cheesy children's adventure story was bad enough, but the tacked-on faith message at the end? Ugh. I read that this was added after the movie was shot in order to appeal to the church-based investors, which is always a sign of a great movie. A much better (and completely different) kids movie was Standing Up, which, incidentally, also has a tacked-on faith message at the end. Ah well...

The generic adventure score was pretty good, though. I wouldn't mind listening to that again.

Way to ruin an otherwise decent kid aventure movie with the whole 'God' PSA.

y, sure u like the story of 2 kids naked on an island "discovering demselvz" better than a kid indiana jones re-adaptation. i hope u don't like kids too much.
the ending was moralizing, expressing some ppls opinions, faith. why does it disgust you? u find it hype 2 b anticlerical, atheism is the new trend? do u have kids? or u just f'n around?

the musical score was unnoticeable, the actors (adults) were very good, the kid ones ...meh (but we shd b used by now 2 see lame child actors).

all in all a great movie , clever writing & stuff for the level of resources they had, just the 2nd half (except the ending) wasnt as delivering & interesting than the first. but when u get bored halfway into the movie, & still can endure it & find a cool wrapping things up nicely ending, it still qualifies as great seen the amount of odious bullcrap the medias serve on a perma-basis nowadays.

i still crave for excellence, mind-warpliberating, awesomfulness all the time in arts, & i find it often, & some of it was in this film. this was gr8.

i pity u fool, writing such a clichéd critic. (& "i read that" distrct9 was a racist movie, dat nazis & aliens were best friends, & that homophopy gots nothing 2 do wiz misanthropy. call me illiterate or crazy plz.)

The thing I had a problem with was the mother telling her daughter that she was an accident, like it was the daughter's fault that she was conceived at all, and that her mother abandoned her in an orphanage thereby wrongly reinforcing the mother's words like they were actually true; and the father telling his son right to his son's face that everything he ever cared for was buried in the ground. You had a problem with Daniel telling those children that they are loved, yet mention nothing about the harsh, hateful words of those two kids' parents? Instead of being disgusted by a message of love, why not be disgusted by the hate those parents were directing to their children? You have every right to your opinions, and I have every right to my opinion that you are not focusing your dislike on the correct message that was in this movie.

I may not be able to prove that God is real, but you cannot prove that God is imaginary.

There are parents in real life who do the worst abuse to their own childrenm including telling them things like they're no good, that the parent never should've had them and would've been better off with out them, ect. I for one do not get upset with a movie just for acknowleging people like that exist.

One of the messages of the film was that everyone has a purpose. I don't know if you were still watching by the end or paying attention, but that's one of the things the guy told the kids at the end, that no one is made by accident.
