How was Emily an outcast?

She was gorgeous! I can't see how she didn't have a good boyfriend that stood up for her.

Emily may have been goth and anyway girls in movies are always somewhat attractive, even if they are supposed to be ugly; it's show business.

reply

Yeah, it's called TV ugly (or movie ugly or even Hollywood ugly).

You don't have to be ugly to be bullied. I'm not ugly and I was severely bullied in school.

Juicebox07:

I feel your pain. I've read that sometimes bullies pick on people because of jealousy of what you have and they do not. It could be anything, they do it because
they feel you have something they don't, so their goal is took make you feel inadequate took make up for it.

I hope you were able to get some resolution with your situation. 🙅 (hugs)

she was pretty decent. I'd definitely give her box a bashing!!!

Go the Sydney Swans!!!

Yeah, well I'm pretty damn ugly, and I hardly ever got bullied, so obviously there's not a perfect correlation, but...It is annoying how ALL the bullying victims in these movies would are "Hollywood ugly"--i.e. would probably be the prom queen in any actual high school. Are we not capable of having sympathy for the genuinely unattractive?

reply

^That's show business for you; no ugly people allowed.

She could've come from a poor family, didn't wear the right clothes, or lived on the "wrong" side of town, etc., etc. Bullies can and will find any reason to justify their mistreatment of people.

She was a little hottie... And just the kind to pick up and have a good time with her because she would have loved the attention. And I would have gave her attention, over and over again.
