Racist?

Why do they remake movies with all black cast? No one seems to see how racist this is. This is total rip of the "hand that rocks the cradle". A direct market to black audiences is just messed up. This is hollywood understanding blacks will not see white people in movies. "About Last Night" too annnnnd "guess who's coming to dinner" the last one is the worst. They not only think black audiences cant handle political family drama they made it slapstick.

It's not an official remake therefore it's technically an "original" idea.

Seriously? Is this real? There are 10 white people in this movie and in the other mainly black casted movies there are a few black people in the cast also. Just like in a mainly white cast there is a few black people. But you see they release like 5 mainly black casted movies a year and how many mostly white people movies? Tons.

I'm a white male and I don't complain about racism because it doesn't help anything and doesn't stop racism, but this is absolutely not racist. You need more proof than they're remaking a movie with black people. Because it sounds like you're racist. Not to mention the fact that this is just another run of the mill erotic thriller that's been done to death. Also the erotic thriller genre is filled with mostly white casts. Stop crying out racism if it's clearly not there.

I'm black and I see nothing racist about this movie. What I'm pissed about is that this is just the same lazy, recycled crap that's aimed at black audiences in order to make a quick buck.
The studios know the majority of the black community will show up in large numbers to see regardless of the quality of the movie and they do it inexpensively which is why we keep getting movies like Obsessed, The Perfect Guy, Think Like A Man and others like it.

Wow, you stated exactly what I thought when I saw the preview.

If you actually saw the movie or even bothered to look at the cast list, you'd know that this movie stars numerous white actors.

Hope changes everything.

reply

Yep , Written and directed by white guys. Totally racist. SMH

reply

Nice try you dumb, racist troll. Actually it was a bad try. This movie is not a remake and has plenty of white people in it. You only saw black people in the lead roles and made assumptions. Lol. You dummy. You're clearly intimidated by black people

reply

Clearly. Lol. Keep telling yourself that.

Have any of you even seen The Hand That Rocks The Cradle? This storyline is nothing at all like that. In THTRTC, a woman poses as a nanny and moves in with a family to terrorize them (because the mother accused her husband, a doctor, of molestation, and he killed himself). What's the similarity? Both movies have a baby in the cast? Why not just say this is a remake of 'Look Who's Talking'?

reply

Thank you! People are stupid.

reply

As if you would actually go see an original black movie anyway
