My Darling Paul,

I wish you could have seen this movie. It reminded me of so many things....You were the kind of crazy man who would have bought a slightly run-down zoo (and house) in the middle of the sticks....and made it work. You'd have put the precious animals first; you would have cared for them and loved them and honored them.
I guess most of all the movie reminded me of that last day when you were really well, and we spent all day at the San Antonio Zoo. We had no idea that exactly one month later you would leave me to go and live in Heaven.
I love you and miss you.
