There are several posts about whether this story is actually true or not. Sadly it's true but unfortunately some of the most bizarre facts of the case are being left out due to "Hollywoodzaion" & fact distortion. The site was started by someone who has taken a very big personal interest in the case and helped compile a huge amount of information. I will wisely not try to recreate the site for you here except to say it can & should be able to answer any questions that you have about this.
I really hope Hollywood doesn't blow this opportunity of sharing some worthwhile information by oversimplifying and glossing over key facts of this open investigation. Hollywood has a bad reputation of doing just that these days. My guess is they don't want a great story getting in the way of a mediocre script & subpar acting ability. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this.
