Waitress Question (*SPOILER*)

I know when Pacino first got out of jail he asked Walken about granddaughter and Walken said he was never able to locate her.

At the end of the movie, the waitress calls him "Grandpa."

Did he know the whole time that was his granddaughter? And when did SHE find out? I missed something somewhere.

reply

Yeh you did miss something, like a whole scene. Walken knew Alex or whatever she's called was his granddaughter, he just never plucked up the courage to tell her, he just goes into the diner every day to check on her. Pacino twigged that she was Walken's granddaughter and asked Walken when he was going to tell her and Walken promised to tell her the next day. Then Walken phones up clackerknackers, or whatever he's called, and begs for mercy for Pacino. Clangarstacks then threatens to kill Alexis if Walken doesn't off Pacino. Walken then decides to leave a note for Alexanderbells and a key to his place. I guess the note said 'hey, I'm your granddad go to my house, here's the key'.....cause that's not the creepiest thing a customer could leave a waitress.

So yeh he knew she was his granddaughter and Alexasaurus I guess found out either from the note or just putting two and two together.

reply

I think she sort of knew all along.
