This is possibly a first :)
KayteeHolt, I support your right to like her and you won't hear me calling anyone names for who they like. That said... i found Ashlee really hard to watch. She's so "acty" (like she is reading lines instead of finding the character and naturally having conversations as that character)
So far she hasn't had a lot to do, i am about 6 eps in, but i think she was terribly mis-cast. I did think at one point, "Well, this is better than watching her sister!" :)
Her / Her character reminds me of Brooke from the original Melrose. From the wide eyes to the way they would smile.
I'm watching it now and it's a little eerie.
I never thought about that!
But I don't get why they cast Ashlee in a pivotal role like the new Sydney, which is who she is clearly supposed to be modeled after. They really needed to get the casting right with Violet and they screwed up majorly.
