not what i expected it all

i just caught an episode of this online, the one where Mystique pretends to be Black Widow and wow, i didn't expect this at all. i knew what the designs were like and all but i had no clue of the tone and style it would take.

it totally reminded me of the old 80s saturday morning shows but with better animation. i love the humor and over the top-ness of it all. this was a total surprise and i wouldn't mind seeing more. as other have said, most action/adventure cartoons these days are all dire and serious, even the ones aimed at little kids...so its nice to see one go this route.

its sorta like a modern day version of Superfriends except that the humor is intentional this time. :P

I agree 100%. This is the only series I've ever seen that's made me laugh out loud no matter how many times I watch the episodes.

I started watching episode 9 and couldnt even get past 5 min of it. sorry but when I was young I saw nothing with with my X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons. the 90s ones. Why do we have to dumb this *beep* down so much all of a sudden??

I hate how IMDb signatures look like part of the post.

Lol I don't think you get this show.

Personally, I expected it to be funnier. It is a lot more like a goofy 80s - early 90s cartoon than I expected and I do enjoy from time to time in that regard. The humor is really juvenile though, sometimes a little more than to my liking but then again I'm not in the target age group. I just wish it felt a little more clever.

I love the humor and I think it's absolutely perfect for what it's meant to be. I have no problems with it whatsoever. As a matter of fact I think it's one of the better shows on Cartoon Network but of course that's my opinion.

It blew me away. There is subtle sophistication in its seeming simplicity, like the Ramones first album. One of the few things going on right now that make it look like superheroes have a future. It draws on the past for something totally fresh. It does indeed give Marvel its Superfriends, and its Adam West Batman show. Lots of great lines just thrown out that you only get the second or third time. Also did some searching and was surprised how much of it references "actual" events - ie Ms. Marvel and MODOK. It got me more interested in Marvel mythology than I've been since I was twelve.

For me, this show makes "serious" superhero cartoons and comics actually look pretty silly. All Watchmen was was a murder mystery with tights, with an ending ripped off from Outer Limits, but people act like Alan Moore's the second coming of James Joyce...? Not on my watch, man.
