Why the Hell is Sponge Bob playing Captain America and Iron Man?!!!

I just found out today about this cartoon and that Tom Kenny is playing Captain America and Iron Man. Tom is not the kind of guy I would picture voicing for Capt and IM. Another thing is i'm getting tired of these re-used Marvel Cartoons over and over again. The 90's ones were the best ones Marvel please stop redoing Marvel cartoons over and over again! Just continue the 90's cartoons.

Kind of a myopic view you have there, don't you think? He's been able to achieve in an insanely competitive business. That speaks to his talent and versatility.

It does seem, though, that the same core group of voice actors tend to be used on all the major projects. Good for them, but not so good for the legion of other capable actors who vie for work every day.

Well for one thing I have heard his voice work a lot, it's hard to picture someone like Tom Kenney doing a really dashing character like Iron Man and Captain America. Sure he's versatile, but I heard him for mostly doing sidekick, smartish, goofy, and dumb characters but not dashing. Maybe if you give me an example of a character he did before that's a strongwilled hero like Captain America and Iron Man and a sound sample then maybe I think he can pull it off.

He's got the gig, which means the people that count feel he's versatile enough to be cast in these particular roles. Sorry that you'can't picture it,' but he really doesn't need to prove anything to you. Nor do I.

Do you know him personally? Because it sounds like your really close to him or something. If I offended you deepley, sorry... But it's just an opinion. I may not be a big Tom Kenny fan but I am for Captain America and Iron Man and that's just my observation. So excuse me if i'm not personal friends with Tom or know him deepley and personally.

I'm not offended. Sorry if I was heavy-handed. Don't know the guy, but believe that one type of work doesn't negate another. Maybe he'll surprise you.

Have you seen what the characters look like? That alone should tell you why they chose guys like Kenny and Charlie Adler. The only one that seems to have a serious sounding voice is Punisher due to Ray Stevenson, but I assume that's more of an inside joke thing because of how the character acts.

I just saw an episode of this cartoon the other day, in the begining before I saw it I mistaken this for a serious show so now I see why they got Kenny. But as soon as saw it I hated it. I coulden't get into it, it was too kiddy and chessy for my taste. And the character designs were horible and looked like playschool toys. The only thing I liked about it was that dinosaur kid but the character of him was badley acted.

This Spongebob doofus does voices in nearly every cartoon nowadays. Are there seriously not enough voice actors out there that they need to keep reusing the same ones over and over again? Gay! Pure gay! ... Just like ME :-D

Well, as a comparison, Charles Adler reprised his role as The Red Guy from Cow & Chicken for the voice of Dr. Doom. But seriously, check out the cast list on Wikipedia. I was surprised at just how many well-known actors/actresses they got to do the voices.

Tom Kenney is overused today but then again it's an incestous business. He's certainly no Frank Welker or Neil Ross.

Try not to take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.

OMG! It's like if the same guy did the voice of Shaggy and Robin! Horrors! How dare voice talents have "careers"? What are they thinking?
