As an adult I find this show hilarious... I don't get the hate

I don't get the hate on this show at all. I've been watching it on Netflix and think it's funny as BLEEP.. a complete mock of the entire Marvel Universe. (maybe that's why marvel nerds hate it so much?)

I love the subtle jokes in this show.. I used to think it was just a kiddy show, but these jokes were definitively intended for adults. Stuff like...

Stan Lee as the Mayor

Modok turned into a mini hentchmen

Iron Man seeing a vision of himself in comic form and going "well.. that's strange"

The constant mock of comic book nerds

The helo carrier taking self control and when Iron Man tells it to stand down the ship replies "I cannot do that dave...err.. Iron Man" haha

Glactus turning into a galactic ice cream craving drama queen lol (really love them playing monkey in the middle with his helmet)

Countless Marvel stories turned into 30 minute satires (I love that part)

If you watch this show thinking of it as a satire and not some straight from the comics cannon... you'll laugh your butt off... I did

I agree. There's a lot of self-mocking and Monty Python type humor that made me, as an adult, crack up.

For example, the entire series leads up to this final battle. Before the last episode, as is typically done, they catch viewers up with what's been happening. The mayor (played by Stan Lee), plays scenes from previous episodes--or so he says. What he actually shows is a collection of totally random ridiculous scenes that have nothing to do with anything, such as Dr Doom singing opera. Then he apologizes "Sorry, I guess I set up my DVR wrong."

Agreed. I never would have seen this if not for my son watching, but I thinks it's hilarious. I think it works on different levels.

Don't forget Adam West as Nighthawk.

Yeah this show is funny and after watching Teen Titans Go!(Which was a little painful to watch) Superhero Squad craps all over it with better written humor and a wider array of characters.

I love this show. I don't get the hate either. It's not being presented as the animated marvel universe but a very funny alternate version.

I have to agree, I fond this show hilarious, its the subtle in-jokes that either kids don't get or nerds go mad over because its strays from the strict narrative that they expect from these heroes.

Watched a few episodes tonight with my daughter and I chuckled at a scene where Iron Man and Falcon are travelling through a dimensional rip and Falcon and Iron Man are arguing over who goes first when Iron Man says "I don't need this. I wonder if the X-Men are still recruiting". Then another episode where Ronan The Accuser is speaking with the Kree when he says" Smoke me a chipper, I'll be back for breakfast", which is a reference to the British TV Sci-Fi series Red Dwarf where Ace Rimmer a character in the show repeatedly states "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast".

Those are just a few examples, hopefully when we watch them all again I;ll pick more up. But I love that its satire that both kids and adults can enjoy and that it doesn't take itself too seriously.
