Alien Spaceship?

How the heck did those bug-like aliens have a spaceship? Seems really stupid.. the bugs didn't seem intelligent enough to build a space ship like that or to build anything really.

my guess...
they seemed mechanical. also they could dig and would only attack if they were attacked. it seemed all they cared about was getting the uranium by digging and such. they are probably bio-mechanical creatures created by aliens and sent to earth and other planets for harvesting. the bugs themselves are probably not the alien race.

Fingers crossed for one to visit my mother-in-law real soon. (Knowing my luck, the bitch would subdue it and then ride it bareback when she comes to visit.) Cue the Mother-in-law-ship full of the damn things. Oh dear.

Clearly they are probes send out from the ship to acquire stuff and shoot people.
