i had been wanting to see this film for a while and got to watch it today. I thought the zombies were brilliant and cant wait to see if theres going to be a 2nd one and find out more about how it broke out

Agreed. This film was very effective. The novel African setting in particular was quite inspired and ingenious.

I just saw it.
At first it was just kind of on in the background, but it drew me in. Great performances, loved the minimal dialogue and subtle soundtrack, gorgeous setting in spectacular contrast to the uncomplicatedly ugly zombies... you ask me, this is how to make a zombie/survival movie.
I found it extremely moving and powerfully done, almost in Kubrick fashion, with so little necessary to convey the emotion inherent to the extreme situations.
Beautiful, tense, and intense. It also managed several times to scare the hell out of me.
Thumbs up. I'll watch it again in order to get the full effect from the beginning. Its sheer clarity alone is something very special.

I agree-very good--tense and suspenseful with great scenery. I usually hate this type of movie, but this one is different.
