In most zombie movies if u get blood in an orifice u usually change into a zombi right?

I watch too many movies.....

I thought there was a flub when the amount of blood changed from shot to shot when he didn't seem to wipe it off.

I just thought you had to have been bitten by a zombie to turn into one.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Maybe he had his eyes and mouth closed tight when the blood got splattered?

Different movies have different rules. In Dawn of the Dead 1978 you had to die or get bitten to become a zombie. The blood itself wasn't the cause of the virus.

He does get a fever afterward. Either thats a red herring or he fends of zombification sence his exposure was minimal. Shown as a fever.

I think it's the 28 Days/Weeks later films (where any contact with infected blood turns you in minutes)that people are confusing this with...

Yeah, I thought about this for a moment or two, but different films/shows all make it different. 28 Days Later definitely have the blood as the way to turn, because the father turns after a drop gets into his eye...however, The Walking Dead has blood flying everywhere and all over them and it doesn't seem to make a difference LOL

This issue comes up all the time, especially on the Walking Dead boards (including Fear the...). In most zombie films and shows getting blood on you doesn't do anything. Usually it takes a bite. Many people think blood should infect you but I think writers and directors prefer the bite.
