I definitely agree with you on that. I tend to rate horror movies lower, in general, because they are more a mindless distraction than a well thought out film. This one tried to be a little more than a simple zombie flick, but it failed as a zombie flick. Not something I'd recommend, but not as horrible as most.
P.S. I saw you gave Babette's Feast 10. I gave it eight, because for me, the first half paled in comparison to the second (the meal). I should add, I was almost brought to tears by the entire situation and the food. That being said, I've recently gone vegan and now I can only think back to these food based films with a strange feelings. I cried watching Jiro: Dreams of Sushi and now I'd do it for other reasons. HAHA!
