Interesting film, but poorly developed, in terms of screenplay.

I can't say exactly why without giving away key plot details.

Michael Haneke would have made it much better!

Just like he did with The White Ribbon and Funny Games!

Or maybe Lars von Trier could helm the remake (or reimagining)...
